Daughter of the Empire 2

hello hello :)
Now to complete where i left last time (i feel like some "mystic" storyteller :P)
Mara decides that what she wants to gain out of a marriage is forming more powerful allies; she needs the son of a very connected family. Unfortunately though, the most connected clan is the Anasati, her clan's other rival (are you following?? Minwanabi Clan: enemy+most powerful ; Anasati Clan: second rival+most connected.... Obviously the Acoma know how to choose their opponents :P)
So, ruling her desire to avenge her family over her want to oppose the Anasati, Mara decides to marry one of the Anasati sons. The Lord of the Anasati (her father-in-law-to-be) only agreed to this marriage because it gave his son the ability to rule Acoma affairs and would hopefully help him crush the Minwanbi clan, also his rival.
Though she would be handing down her clan to her husband, Mara schemed a way to control clan affairs indirectly; she increased her military force some more, procured a spy network to keep her on top of things, and recruited a Cho-ja hive. Some background information on Cho-jas: they're alien-like, intelligent creatures (slightly resemble huge ants) that are loyal and beneficial in many ways, including their abnormal strength, large numbers per hive, mining abilities, and valuable products. Having a Cho-ja hive greatly increased an estate's wealth.
Mara planned to keep her husband only until she gave birth to a suitable male heir and was connected enough to dispose of her connections with the Anasati. The only flaw in her plan seemed to be how to get rid of her husband......
Until next time then !!! ;)

  1. So Mara married a man from her rival clan to get a male heir and then get rid of her husband. That seems eerie well i will try to predict how will she do that. I guess she will poison him. but may be she is smarter than that well i will wait for your next post to know how will she get rid of her poor husband.
    Keep going noor!

  3. Nadia: if she poisons him, then her clan would be dishonored; no she needs him to die of his own accord, or at least for it to seem that way ;)

Ms.Shabana: hahaa, yeah it does seem that way right? :P

I'm glad you guys are enjoying the book! :D
